Highlights 
2002: After coming off of an incredibly successful season in 2001,
Johnny Miller, one of the premier drivers in the Trans-Am series, teamed
up with Paul Gentilozzi and the Rocketsports racing team again for his
seventh full season of Trans-Am competition. Johnny qualified 6 out of
the 12 races in the fast 5, and collected 3 podium finishes on the way
to finish 4th in the Drivers championship. Johnny Miller was a major contributor
in winning the "Team Excellence" award for the best team/sponsor,
presentation and appearance, public relations, and marketing for Rocketsports
Racing
2001: Finishing a career high of 3rd in the Drivers Championship
with 5 podium finishes at Long Beach, Mosport, Detroit, Cleveland and
Road America. Qualified in the "Fast Five", five of the eleven
races and led the point's championship for three events early in the season..
Completed every single race lap available (a team first) and won the Owners
Championship for Paul Gentilozzi/Rocketsports for having the best presentation
of team, driver and crew along with the best public relations etc.. This
consistent up front finishing helped bring the Trans-Am Manufacturers
championship to Jaguar and the chassis constructors championship to Rocketsports
Racing.
2000: Scored first career win in season finale at San Diego. Finished
second at Cleveland and Texas. Posted five top-10 finishes. Finished seventh
in the Drivers Championship. Won the pole at Sebring and Road America.
Was a fast five qualifier in eight of the 12 rounds this season.
1999: finished the season fifth in the Drivers Championship for
the second consecutive season. Posted second place finishes at Long Beach,
Road Atlanta and West Michigan. Posted 9 top-10 finishes.
1998: Finished fifth in the Drivers' Championship. Posted a second
place finish at Minnesota. Was a top-five finisher in seven of 13 rounds.
Finished third at Long Beach and Homestead. Fourth at Mosport and Trois-Rivers.
Fifth at Watkins Glen and Road America.
Career Highlights: First Trans-Am win, San Diego 2000. Selected
by his fellow drivers as the BBS Most Improved Driver of the year in 1998,
and earned Rookie of the year in 1996.
Racing History: Made his Trans-Am Series debut in 1994 at the
Mid-Ohio Trans-Am. Finished 13th I the 1995 road Atlanta Trans-Am, earning
the Raybestos Rising Star of the race honors. Scored a podium finish at
the 1995 IMSA GTS-1 race in Halifax CA. Begin motorsports career autocrossing
in 1982 with numerous Wins and regional championships. Raced Solo 1 in
the late 80's with 4 track records and over 25 wins. Was the Chrysler-Dodge
National Collegiate Driving Champion in 1984.
Johnny has also begun providing driving instruction as a professional
road course driving instructor.

earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
