Johnny Finishes 6th At Lime Rock Park (currently 2nd In Driver's Point Championship)

Johnny finished 6th in the Memorial Day Mohegan Sun Lime Rock Grand Prix.

Johnny noted about the race... “I had a good car today, it was really good at the end. With 15 laps to go, we were running Justin down. We had a good pit stop and everything looked to be heading in the right direction.

On the late race battle with Mike Lewis, Justin Bell, and Paul Gentilozzi… “Paul and I were dogging Lewis. He was blocking and holding us both up big time. He was a good half second slower than both of us. I was trying to be civil, but he kept stopping in the middle of the corner in front of us.

“Justin got by and then I let Paul by. I figured I tuck in behind Paul and then we’d run down Lewis together and the go after Butch (Leitzinger). I don’t know if we could have passed Butch, but I do believe we could have caught him.

“We were there at the end and we’re still looking good in the points standings.”
