Vir - Promoter Test Day (thursday)

Johnny (and most of the other T/A drivers) participated in the promoter test day Thursday at VIR.

In the first session Johnny familiarized himself with the track and was among the fastest 3.

In the second session he was fastest until he blew a tire and sustained some body damage. Boris (I believe) was able to improve on Johnny's time and was fastest of the session with Johnny 2nd.

In the afternoon third and final session, Johnny, Butch, and Boris kept swapping as the fastest on track. They ended up with Boris, Butch, and Johnny all within 10th's of a second.

Johnny is pleased with the progress he and the team made on the test day and he expects it to be a dogfight on Sunday.

Paul sustained a 9G crash into the tire wall during the second session. Johnny reports he is ok, but sore, and resting on Thursday night.

Friday AM is the first official practice session for the last race of the Trans-Am season.
