Long Beach News - Saturday Qualifying
Johnny will start the Johnson Controls 100 Trans-Am race in 4th position tomorrow. He was very pleased to be in a car that provided consistant laps of 1:23.9 seconds. A few set-up changes will provide a car that will be very racy by providing the consistant laps and good handling. The rainy weather in Long Beach affected the qualifying session for all driver by pretty much removing all the rubber that had been layed down on Friday by the CART and Toyota Atlantic cars. This created very slick conditions for the late afternoon session. Paul Gentillozzi won the poll position followed by Boris Said and Brian Simo.
We are looking forward to a big day tomorrow with the late afternoon race and a full day of activities with Eaton Cutler-Hammer and Quantum Automation employees and guests.
